Welcome CHOC! Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) opened its doors in 1964 establishing itself as the first Children’s Hospital located in Orange County. CHOC not only has a state-of-the-art main hospital facility, but it also includes a hospital-within-a-hospital location in Mission Viejo, and multiple community clinics. With compassion serving as their core, the mission at Children’s Hospital of Orange County is to nurture, advance and protect the health and well-being of children. It is the devotion to this mission by individuals in every area of all of their facilities, and their cooperative efforts, that have resulted in the hospital’s deserving awards and their ranking as one of the nation’s top children’s hospitals.
